JOAQUÍN TABOADA is a piano Professor and Superior Professor of Music and Accompaniment. As a composer, he participated in the II Festival of New Music together with Mikel Nyman and others in San Sebastian in 1991, performing several concerts the same year. He was the founder of the group Quorum of versions for piano, voice and chelo. In 2001 he records in CD "Música vespertina", a recopilation of compound topics during all these year.
STULTIFERA NAVIS: Stultifera Navis is a musical project to interpret the music of J.Taboada live. At present he is carrying out a series of concerts in Navarra and Basque Country, and is still giving life and movement to Musica Vespertina's musical notes and other topics not yet recorder but yes in project to became a part of his CD number two.. STULTIFERA NAVIS is formed by: Joaquín Taboada (piano), Unai Otegui (flute), Diego Jimenez (clarinet), Victor Castillo (acordeon, keyboards) and Juanjo Ojeta (bass, guitar). This is an open project which believes that the compositions of J. Taboada can be performed by as well as by an indefinite number of musicians, making the audience participate too. This work has received excellent critical in several regional newspapers soon after its presentation in the Assembly hall of the Room of Culture of Peralta (Navarra) the 8th February.
